How to wear the black leather dress trend.

Posted 27 Aug 2009

So my bad, I read InTouch Weekly the other day.  Trash!  But boy do they have good gossip.  This issue they were dishing on Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Anniston.  Claiming that Angelina was trying to show up Jennifer in her leather dress.  Honestly, who cares?  They both look amazing and made me want to run out and get one.  What about you?

Well, here are a few tips for you before you pour your body into one:

1.  Leather is not spandex. It is not going to stretch to your heart’s desire.  So if your bottom area typically requires a larger size, consider a dress that is only partially leather.  It will still look great and fit you better, plus since it is not all leather it should costs less too.

2.  Leather is not for small boobs only. Now just because these two ladies are wearing bustier versions of dress does not mean it is the only option.  You can find leather dresses with mandrian colors, sleeveless, etc.  So if you are worried that your girls will pour out of a bustier dress, pour your body into a different style.

3.  Leather is a statement of it’s own. So DO NOT over-accessorize this dress.  Otherwise you could have saved the moneyyou spent on it for more accessories for your plain cotton, spandex, rayon black dress.

Now, I am going to keep my eyes open for reasonable priced leather dresses.  Please do the same.  And when you find something, comment below so that I can share with all of the Fashion Cents readers.  Make sense?
