Forever 21
Okay, I NEVER talk about Forever 21 because I usually find it difficult to shop in that store. It is so much stuff that even the salespeople can’t tell me where to find things I see on display. Plus, I think you should embrace not being forever 21. There is a confidence and a discovery of your personal style that happens as you mature past 21 — but I’m no psychologist.
Anyway, I went to this party last night and a woman had on a great shrug. I told her that I LOVED it and then asked her where she found it. She replied, in a nasty tone, “Forever 21.” Clearly, she thinks she is forever 21 with her passive, aggressive response. If you don’t want someone to know something, have the confidence to give them an honest answer. Just say “I’d rather not share.”
But lucky for you, she gave me an answer and I am bringing it to you. (Plus, it forced me to check out Forever 21 online and I found it easy to shop unlike the stores. So look out, I might bring you more ideas from here.)
Now this cute little number isn’t for every body.
- If you have a very long torso, avoid it because it will only make you look longer.
- If you have a very prominent belly avoid it because it will only draw attention to the stomach area.
Now for those bodies that can wear it:
- Try it with jeans and a long tank for a cool casual night out. I’d add a tank that has color — maybe purple.
- Dress it up with a fitted top and slim black pants or a full skirt.
Yes, in both cases I mentioned a fitted shirt. The shirt must be fitted, otherwise there will be just too much going on with all of the ruffles and puffiness of the vest.
Make sense?
