This could be the most expensive trend for the fall 2011 season – leather – because if you are like me, you will want to wear the real thing. So here are a few suggestions for adding leather into your wardrobe to fit your style, give you versatility AND fit into your budget:
Conservative — Choose a leather pencil skirt. It is classic enough for you to wear paired with a blouse and blazer for work, dressy enough for an evening out when paired with a draped top AND casual enough to be paired with a jean jacket for play.
Trendy — Choosing a trendy leather piece might reduce your versatility. While a dress like this covers you fully, the bustier styling is not appropriate for the office. (Make sure you check out the back on this dress. The exposed zipper gives it even more style.)
Creative — Now they don’t have to be so short but leather shorts for fall are hot! So you creative types can put your creativity to work and build this outfit into whatever you can envision…paired with knee high boots or short combat boots; sweaters, blouses or even a funky tee; go bare-legged if your weather is still conducive for it or pair it with funky tights. So many options.
And all of the leather pieces are under $150. That makes cents, right? Leave me a comment below and let me know how you style your leather this season.
