This makes sense:

What to Wear on a First Date – Dinner

First dates always seem to give people some level of anxiety.  If you are really attracted to this person, you are really concerned about getting it right so you get to the second date.  If you are not so attracted and honestly, not sure why you are even going, your anxiety is more like “how much time do you have to waste”.  So @wardrobeguy (his handle on twitter) and I have a little conversation and came up with an outfit or two that will relieve your anxiety, at least about what to wear for the first date scenario.  The second scenario, you are on your own.

Dinner (we are not talking any place with a kids menu)

He says:I would dress to impress. And defiantly expect the same coming from her…first impressions are lasting ones…

I say:So does that mean you are wearing a suit and tie? Jeans are out for her? Even if she rocks them with stilettos and a sexy shirt?

He says:Jeans are cool with stilettos but nothing washed of course.” (means dark jeans not faded)

I say:Could she wear this? I am in love with neck tie blouses (you will see them on upcoming episodes of Fashion Cents for sure.

He says:POW POW POW! money in the bank! =)

I say: Ladies, wouldn’t you like for that to be your date’s response when he sees you (even if doesn’t actually say it, just thinks it)?  Now if you are not a jeans type of lady, this look still works with a black skirt or trousers.

What do you say? Weigh in by leaving a comment below! Plus, let us know what other date night outings we should cover. Make sense?

P.S. Read our other “What to Wear on A First Date” posts so you will look fashionable for other outings. And if you want to read our long banter on facebook just check it out here (p.s. you might have to “like” me first).
