Warm weather is coming or at least that is what I keep telling myself as I write this blog post on a dreary 37 degree day. So as I snuggle up with a blanket, it hits me…this could be the right video podcast to start the spring trend series — how to wear the spring scarf trend (but to be honest, it sounds warmer than it is).
While scarves are a big accessory in cold weather — providing style and warmth; in warmer weather, it is all style. As I wrote in the blog post “5 women’s accessory trends for 2011“, scarves have the flexibility to work around the neck or the waist. So with that type of flexibility, how could you not incorporate it into your wardrobe? It is an easy way to add some flair.
But as always, I have a few tips to help you wear it right — don’t want you to get too hot and I want to make sure you have flexibility with your scarves. Now, I must admit that I struggled with my scarf a little in this video. No mirror when we were out shooting live so it is further from my neck than it should have been. So this time do as I say not as I do.
Now one of the things I am saying to do is visit www.KnittiGritti.etsy.com for cool spring/summer scarf options. My new found friend has options with the right colors, weaving and length so you can get lots of flexibility out of your purchase. Makes sense?
