This makes sense:

How to shop for shoes.

kim

It is my birthday and I am celebrating in Miami beach.  It is wonderful here.  Warm weather so I get to wear skimpy clothes AND I am staying in the Delano, you know the hotel where stars are spotted and home to great night life.  Well, after my birthday meal at Ola (if you have never been, you have got to go, the food was amazing), we ended up at the bar at the Delano.  As we people watched, I noticed something horrific — some chick took her shoes off!  How tacky.  If you can’t keep them on your feet, DON’T WEAR THEM.

Here are two simple tips for shoe shopping:

1.  Shop for shoes in the latter part of the day.  This is the time when your feet are at their largest because they have swollen some during the day.  If you shop in the morning, those cut little peep toes might pinch your toes by end of day.

2.  Hang out in the shoe store.  Once you have found a pair of shoes you love, don’t just try them on for a few seconds (which is honestly all we typically give it).  Spend some time in the store and walk around on the shoes.  Really, walk around and NOT just on the carpeted area.  You don’t want to get home and find the heel slips against the linoleum or their isn’t enough cushion when you are pounding on cement.  Plus, if you take some time, you might realize their is a little too much room in the back of those shoes and after a while you will walk right out of them (remember, leather stretches).

Now, don’t go run out for those shoe sales this morning, go this afternoon so when you are out, you can KEEP YOUR SHOES ON!  Make sense?
