Sample Sale Pick of the Day — Jessica Simpson at Ideeli

Yes, I know it is still cold outside but this deal was too hot not to tell you about it.  Jessica Simpson is on sale at Ideeli today.  There are several great options, I had a hard time choosing but this is my favorite – Mist Suiting Tulip Dress now $45 (orig. $128).

Who can wear it?

Body Shapes — For lovers of your arms.  This dress will definitely show off your great well defined arms and give you that hourglass figure we all long for.

o       Perfect if you have hips and booty – enough room in the tulip shaped skirt to keep you covered without pulling and looking too tight.

o       No hips or booty – tulip shape skirt helps to balance out your figure. While all body shapes can wear this dress, it is actually great for those with a little more hip and butt.

o       If you are voluptuous on top, be careful about having too much cleavage.  This dress may pull across your top. For others though, don’t worry about too much cleavage, you can always have a tailor put a hook & eye in the top to close it up a little. (Email me or leave comments if you need help on this.)

Styles — This classic shaped is great for our more conservative ladies and perfect for in the office.  The little pop of color in the belt helps to give it some flair but you can even tone that down with a belt that matches your conservative black or brown pumps.

Where to wear?

Great stylish work wear.  Grab a cardigan though because it is some times chilly in the office.

How to get it?

Just click here for your Ideeli invite and then visit Jessica Simpson events.  It will make sense when you get on the site.  Make sure you check out the other dresses too.  I loved the Aqua Belted V-Neck Dress, Coral St. Tropez Tie Dress, and the Halter Tie Dresses in the Pure & Simple Events.

Hi Kimberly, I recently bought 3 Jessica Simpson dresses from ideeli and am quite disappointed. I usually wear a size 12 (sometimes 10) and have a heavy top. Two of the three dresses were tight around the waist for me. I was really surprised as a 12 should be perfect for me. Normally i wear straight cut dresses, without any belts or waist defined. I am quite confused as to what style would suit me best to make me look slimmer at the waist and still be comfortable at the top. Any advice will be great! Thanks, Shruti

Hi Shruti - I am so sorry that you had difficulty with your purchases. First, I hope you returned them and got the credit back. Ideeli has a great return policy. Second, before you purchase online sample sales, try to find the designer/brand in a store first to make sure it will fit you well. Now on to the right type of dress for you. I am not sure of your overall body type but if you have a small waist, dresses that pull in at the waist should be good for you. Try to things that have a little more lycra in them so they can give you room in the top. But I do suggest making sure they fit you in teh top first as you can always have the waist taken in at a cleaners. So don't be uncomfortable about buying a larger size if necessary so that it fits you well. If the size (number) makes you uncomfortable, cut the tag out later. :-)
