What to Wear in a Snow Storm

Hopefully, you were unlike me and caught off guard by the northeast snow storm that grounded my flight from New York back to Chicago.   As I packed for this trip earlier last week, it never dawned on me to pack for the possibility of snow up to my knees.  So here are a few things to always have on hand if you live in a cold weather city or are just visiting and they are $100 or less:

1. High Snow Boots — thermal and/or with fur will help to keep your feet warm and if they are high, helps to keep snow from falling inside of them.
2. Long Down Jacket — preferably with a hood.  It will keep you warm.
3. Thermal Underwear — I used to wear them all the time as a kid but I got to fancy for them as I got older.  Well, it is sexy to be warm.
4. Gloves, Hats and Warm Socks — I assume you already have all of these on hand.

Now stay warm and have fun in the snow.
