What luck! I just ran across an article on “How to Care for Sweaters” in Allure magazine. It is perfect timing because I spent my weekend doing fall cleaning — I purged old mail and bagged up the few unworn items from my closets and drawers. Yes, I do the same “cleaning out the closet” that I told you to do in the “Closet Clean Out” post. While separating my clothes into piles – give away, throw away, repair, keep; I came across a cashmere cardigan. This is such a staple for the winter but I noticed a hole under the sleeve. I was just about to toss it in the throw away pile when it dawned on me that I could take it to the tailor to repair. Yes, they can repair sweaters too. But it dawned on me that I should take better care of my sweaters and then…the Allure article today. Yeah! They have great tips for taking care of sweaters — pills, washing and drying.
