In Chicago it appears that winter is here a bit “early” this year. On the avenue (that’s Michigan Ave.) you can see folks already donning the leather as a nip is definitely in the air.
This is my favorite time of year because it allows for layering. There are really simple and classic ways to create a look that is practical (meaning warm), comfortable and stylish. This season, one hot trend is the rugged or what most would call the “Outdoors Man” look. Most people would say that you need to be in the woods to wear some of these things however that could not be further from the truth.
I’ve pulled a few items together than can actually be worn as an entire outfit.

You do not want to appear to be trying too hard. That means that men you do NOT have to grow a beard or go unshaven in order to complete the outfit. As I always say, “it’s about how you feel and how you come across and present yourself.“ As always, it’s you first and fashion second.
