This makes sense:

The Art of Wearing a Grosgrain Belt

Paying attention to details has always been fashionable and it can definitely be affordable.  Sometimes a man’s “look” can be heightened by the addition of the simplest of accessories.  This week that accessory is the grosgrain striped belt.  In an earlier post the signs of a man, I highlighted the grosgrain watchstrap as a simple yet colorful way to freshen up your old and tired leather watchband.  The principal is the same this week.

Gents take a look at this belt by Ralph Lauren.   This is a very hot and colorful look for the summer.  This belt is “sale-priced” at $49 but can be worn with a multitude of looks.  Pair it with those snowcap colored chinos I spoke to last week in white pants for men and add a brightly colored polo for a casual summer look.  If you have a lightweight dark or light-colored cotton summer suit you can wear the grosgrain belt to add a pop of color.  The beauty about this particular belt is that it is not meant to “match” exactly to the other colors you’re wearing.  With the main colors in this belt being orange, blue, and yellow you can easily pair it with hues of bright red as well as purples.  This belt has both warm and cool colors so the possibilities are endless as to what colors you can wear with this belt.

As I’ve said before, it’s the summer so live a little.  Get out of that comfort zone and if you feel so inclined, “Let Fashion Happen”.

Fashionably Yours,

Mason
