To Crease or Not to Crease?

Okay, you know how I feel about jeans (remember, no labels on my ass)…I am not spending a lot of money on them and, certainly, not a lot of time.  My jeans are wash and wear…REALLY.  I take them out of the washer, throw them in the dryer for a little shrinkage (gives them a better fit) and then I go.  I do not send them to the cleaners (no more money being spent on jeans) and I do not iron them (no more time spent on jeans).  So I DEFINITELY do not crease them and  can’t understand why others do.

Jeans are casual wear and not appropriate for everywhere.  So there is no need to heavily starch them and add a crease as if that dresses them up.  It only makes you look like you are trying to hard to look cool.  Relax!  And wear your jeans relaxed.

Make sense?

Kimberly, this is in response to your post on jeans. I do agree with NOT wearing creases in your jeans!! That is soooooo 80's, maybe even 70's! But, i am one of those men who will take his jeans to the cleaners - especially if they're the expensive pair. Some people may say "jeans are jeans'. But they really are not. I have several pair of jeans that i payed quite a few bucks for (not going to display the amount) and although they cost a pretty penny, it was worth. Jeans can be casual or you can dress them up with a blazer and a pocket square. :) The overall fit and comfort of the jeans are a HUGE difference. Some jeans i do wash, but definately don't dry them. They will shrink!! lol. Tight fitting jeans are not for men!!! Remember, you did say "relaxed" fit. So, i don't wear starchy, wrinkled, tight fitting jeans.
