Gingham for Girls
Looks for Women

Yes, gingham prints are in for women too and, NO, you won’t look like Elly Mae (unless of course you use a robe as a belt or you try suspenders with jeans). Here are a few great pieces at great prices to get your spring wardrobe started:
Macy's Jessica Simpson Cotton Gingham Check Dress $128.00
Gap Gingham Cami $44.50
Nordstrom Halogen® Gingham Check Blazer $88.00
(The Nordstrom photo is distorted, please click on the photo to see the full visual.)
Now which one should you try?
- Just about everybody can wear the Jessica Simpson dress. It has the right cut to minimize full breast and thick straps if you need to wear a bra. The full skirt fits covers a lot of our lower body woes — tummies and hips. Now it might be a little short for some of our longer legged beauties but if there is enough hem, your tailor can always lengthen it. I would only avoid it if your breast don’t fill it out or if you hate your arms.
- The Gap cami is just the opposite as above. It doesn’t cover much and its length can be very unflattering on someone who has a long waist. So steer clear if you are very well endowed.
- Nordstrom check blazer is another winner for all. You need a little more length? Wear a longer shirt under it.
Now checkmate!
