I go to this scholarship event every year (read Now that’s a signature style!) and never see the same dress twice. But it dawned on me that those dresses could be sitting in closets collecting dust verus making someone else look like a princess.
So if you have any formal/after 5 dresses that you aren’t wearing go get them RIGHT NOW and head to a drop off for The Glass Slipper Project. This non-profit organization donates gently used dresses to girls for their proms. They even set up boutiques for the girls to shop for the dresses and accessories.
Don’t live in Chicago? There are tons of organizations like this across the country. Just visit the Glass Slipper Project and they will give you out-of-state information too.
