This makes sense:

Don’t hate the player, hate the game…

I’m watching the NBA All-Star Rookie Challenge and I am in awe of Dwayne Wade.   I’m starting to think I’m the only one as I listen to the broadcasters really tear apart his attire.  But honestly, what style.  It’s time you mean started dressing up and adding a little pizzaz to the wardrobe.  Now that’s a great look for a Valentine’s date.

So how do you get it the look?

The Vest — Find an inexpensive vest (you don’t have to do yellow) from TJ Maxx, Macy’s or even Paul Fredrick for only $24.95.  Now I struggled with the buttons, it felt like a lot going on.  So, if you skip the button down vest for just a plain vest, make sure it has a deep v-neck.  You need the space between the vest and the bow tie.  Plus, don’t tuck the vest in (that really is a little over the top).

The Bow TieJust like any tie, you want it to compliment the colors of the shirt and the suit so that it “ties” everything together.  You can hit the Men’s Warehouse or Paul Fredrick for an inexpensive bow tie.

The Pocket Square –should match the tie (we are not going for Granimals) just keep it in the same family of colors but definitely a different pattern.  Don’t remember how to fold one?  Check out our pocket square post.

Now keep the suit simple but make sure it is a great fit.  Also, start off simple and wear a solid white shirt.   Once you are comfortable with this look you can then add in a color/patterned shirt for even more interest.  Make sense?
