When there is a fire, you have been taught to stop, drop and roll. But what about a fashion emergency? Well, today I had one so I now shout the mantra “stop, tape and go“.
I had procrastinated most of the morning before realizing I could wait no longer to get out of the house. I grabbed my pants out of the cleaners bag with no time to spare. But as I was pulling them on, I realized that the hem had come out of one of the pant legs. No time to sew the hem. (But as an aside, I am so quitting my cleaners. What cleaners sends you out with one pant hem down?)
I pulled my freshly washed turtleneck over my head and ran out the door. Before I got the key firmly out of the lock, my tag in my sweater started to itch. Usually, I would put in a tag tamer but no time to head back in the house.
So instead I went itching and pant legging hanging into the world. As I got to the first stop light, I just couldn’t take the tag anymore and pulled it out, leaving a whole in the neck of the turteneck. What a day!
But was I concerned that I would look unkept when I got to my destination? NO! Because I had a plan. At the lights (since I had no time to spare), I would stop, tape and go.
