I was with a guy friend the other day who asked me to help him find a shirt for his suit. It was a great navy suit and he had planned on just wearing a white or blue shirt. Boring! But anyway… I ran into a few stores but instead of looking for a shirt, I started with a pocket square. What a great way to add flair to any suit or blazer.
So once I found the right pocket square, I grabbed a great complimentary shirt. Now I tell you this because if you start with the shirt first – 1. you might never get around to adding accessories such as a pocket square that will take the suit up a notch or 2. you might never find a pocket square that works well with the suit and shirt. There are so many shirt options that it is easy to find the right shirt after finding the perfect pocket square.
